Since its establishment in 2017, the Fortune Foundation has remained committed to empowering high school students with essential financial literacy skills. There is a growing body of evidence demonstrating that cultivating soft skills like problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and financial management can facilitate the transition of young individuals into the workforce, enabling them to become proactive and responsible members of their households and communities. However, whether within the educational system or beyond, children and youth often encounter limited opportunities to develop these skills.
Through tailored social and financial education programs designed for various age groups, the Fortune Foundation seeks to address this skills gap by enhancing children and youth's self-awareness, confidence, and understanding of their rights and responsibilities. These programs also aim to equip them with practical knowledge and skills in areas such as financial management, resource allocation, and effective decision-making. In response to requests from educators, our offerings have expanded to include training in Ethical Decision Making and Business Management skills.
Feedback from students highlights the transformative impact that engaging in financial literacy and personal financial management has had on their lives. Many have embarked on thriving income-generating activities to support their families' livelihoods.
