On Wednesday, 10 December 2025, Eve-olve hosted its annual Professional Woman’s Day Out, bringing together women from diverse backgrounds for a day of inspiration, learning, and meaningful connection. Guided by the theme “Indeed She Can,” the event celebrated resilience, growth, and the power of being equipped as a woman navigating both personal and professional spaces.
The highlight of the day was our main guest speaker, Janet Manyowa, who shared her journey of balancing a demanding professional career with her calling as a musician. Janet spoke candidly about the discipline, commitment, and intentional choices required to pursue excellence in more than one area of life. Her story challenged women to recognise that balance is not accidental. It is built through consistent effort and clarity of purpose.
Mental and emotional well-being took centre stage through Vickie Mlilo’s powerful discussion on women’s mental health. She unpacked how cultural expectations and societal norms often place an invisible burden on women, contributing to stress, burnout, and emotional exhaustion. Her session encouraged women to acknowledge these pressures, prioritise their mental health, and seek support rather than carrying life’s challenges alone.
Coach Callie delivered a deeply inspiring testimony of overcoming domestic abuse to become one of Africa’s most influential fitness coaches. Her journey of courage, self-belief, and resilience reminded attendees that painful beginnings do not determine final outcomes. Her story was a powerful example of reclaiming identity and purpose despite adversity.
The theme of resilience continued with Kathy Chikowe, who shared her journey as a cancer survivor. She spoke openly about the emotional and financial challenges that accompany illness and highlighted the work of her organisation, 2nd Chance, which provides both financial and emotional support to those affected by cancer. Her message was one of hope, compassion, and community.
Financial empowerment featured strongly throughout the day. Team First Mutual was represented by Tafadzwa Zaranyika, who introduced the Imba Yangu programme - an initiative that allows individuals to pay a deposit towards purchasing a stand while including life assurance. This presentation opened minds to accessible pathways to property ownership. Tariro Manyati followed with practical insights on investments, emphasising the importance of starting early and consistently building a nest egg. The day concluded with Karen Jiri, who spoke on understanding money from an individual perspective, highlighting saving, budgeting, and investing as essential life skills for long-term stability.
Adding to the richness of the day were practical wellness sessions. Matifadza Shazha shared simple, affordable makeup techniques that boosted confidence, while Mrs Kaund generously dedicated the entire day to providing free blood pressure checks, reinforcing the importance of prioritising health.
The Eve-olve Professional Woman’s Day Out 2025 was a powerful reminder that when women are given the space, tools, and encouragement to grow, indeed she can.

Eve-olve is on a mission to transform the lives of women in Zimbabwe, creating opportunities for growth, empowerment, and connection. This December, we proudly hosted our second Professional Women’s Day event of the year under the theme: Inform, Inspire, Elevate. The event brought together an incredible panel of speakers who left the audience motivated, encouraged, and ready to take action.
Wadzanayi Phiri: Rise with Confidence
Kicking off the day, Wadzanayi Phiri shared an empowering message about overcoming fear and standing tall in the face of challenges. She emphasized the importance of authenticity, positivity, and resilience. Her words challenged women to be lifelong learners, take decisive action, and dare to dream big. Yet, her message didn’t stop at personal empowerment—she encouraged the attendees to uplift others as they rise. "Feed your mind with ideas of success, not failure," she reminded the audience, igniting a spark of hope and determination.
Faith Kanda: Wellness is the Key to Thriving
Faith Kanda, known as Coach Fay, focused on the significance of holistic well-being—physical, emotional, and beyond. She emphasized that self-care is not selfish; it is essential. Women often prioritize others, but Coach Fay reminded them to care for themselves first so they can better support their families and communities. Her secret to great well-being? Consistency. Coach Fay made the session fun and interactive by introducing her TampoLean Bounce programme guiding the attendees through an invigorating trampoline workout that had everyone energized and inspired.
Lily Chiduku: Success Against All Odds
Lily Chiduku captivated the audience with her story of resilience and reinvention. Raised in a small town by a single parent, Lily’s life was marked by challenges, but she refused to let her circumstances define her future. After losing a successful farming business with her husband, she decided to start over. At nearly 50, Lily pursued a business degree, graduated, and launched a peanut butter business that now sells a variety of nut butters in boutique stores. Her story is a testament to perseverance and determination. "Do something about your situation," she urged, inspiring the audience to take charge of their lives no matter their circumstances.
Pet Tshatedi: Graceful Dining Made Simple
To wrap up the day, Pet Tshatedi delivered a delightful and practical session on table etiquette. From setting a dinner table to serving guests with elegance, her lessons were perfectly timed for the holiday season. She left the attendees with skills they could take home and implement immediately, adding a touch of sophistication to their celebrations.
A Day of Growth and Community
The event was a powerful reminder of the importance of coming together to share knowledge, uplift one another, and grow as a community. The lessons learned were profound, practical, and inspiring, equipping attendees with tools to elevate their personal and professional lives.
At Eve-olve, we are committed to hosting events that empower women and foster resilience, creativity, and success. Together, we can continue to build a brighter future for women across Zimbabwe. Let’s inform, inspire, and elevate—because when women thrive, the world thrives.
